Eradicate Forces Obstructing the End of Rebellion
Clarify Connections Between Kim Moonsoo and the People Power Party

Jinwook Jung, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (representing Gwangju Dongnam-gap), on June 1 criticized the far-right group “ReeParkSchool” (presumed to support Syngman Rhee and Park Chung-hee) for allegedly forming a comment manipulation team called Jasongun (an abbreviation for “Free Fingers Saving the Nation with Comments”) to manipulate public opinion during the presidential election. He stated, “Comment manipulation is an enemy of democracy that distorts public sentiment and the truth, posing a serious threat to the democratic constitutional order of the Republic of Korea.”
In a press release issued on the same day, Jung asserted, “It has been revealed that ‘Jasongun’ systematically operated a comment system during the presidential election period, posting illegal comments praising the People Power Party candidate and slandering the Democratic Party candidate in an attempt to manipulate public opinion.” He added, “Since this is a second case of comment manipulation similar to the one uncovered at the National Intelligence Service in 2012, a thorough investigation to uncover the full truth is absolutely necessary.”
He went on to say, “What is even more concerning is that ‘Jasongun’ recruited team members by offering elementary after-school instructor certifications as bait, and it has been confirmed that those who actually obtained these certifications were sent to elementary schools nationwide as part of a plan to indoctrinate students with a distorted view of history.” He continued, “It is chilling to think that they attempted to gaslight our children by instilling New Right far-right historical perspectives, thereby distorting history and obstructing their development as proper democratic citizens. This is precisely why it is necessary to eradicate these forces.”
Jung particularly pointed out, “There is suspicion that the people leading ‘ReeParkSchool’ are connected not only to People Power Party candidate Kim Moonsoo, but also to key figures such as floor leader Kweon Seongdong and lawmaker Cho Jeonghun. Therefore, the nature of their relationships with candidate Kim’s campaign and the People Power Party must be thoroughly clarified.”
Jung concluded, “The forces behind the rebellion should be begging the public for forgiveness in this presidential election, yet they have instead been exposed for attempting to influence the election through comment manipulation.” He added, “The People Power Party and their associates, who have directly betrayed the public’s wish to end rebellion, must be rooted out completely in order to set the country right.”
