"Lee Jaemyung is the most dangerous and the murkiest"
"No to bulletproof monster legislation and dictatorial presidency"
Kim Moonsoo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, criticized Lee Jaemyung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, two days before the June 3 presidential election on the 1st, calling him "a person who has committed many crimes" and stating, "If someone who should be in prison becomes the president of the Republic of Korea, this country will become a bundle of crimes."
At a campaign rally in Suwon and Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province on this day, Kim said, "Only your vote can set the Republic of Korea on the right path and create a just democracy," reiterating his position.
Kim emphasized, "Except for this one candidate, all former Gyeonggi governors are supporting me," adding, "The reason is simple. I have never, under any circumstances, misused a corporate credit card for personal gain while in public office, nor has my wife ever misused one."
Regarding the controversy over online comments made by Lee Jaemyung's son, Dongho, Kim said, "Didn't you see the profanity? I won't even repeat it," and added, "My daughter has never engaged in such bizarre and obscene language, nor has she caused problems through gambling or anything of the sort."
Kim especially stressed, "Public officials must be clean to be respected," and said, "If the water at the top is clear, the water below will also be clear." He criticized, "If you put the dirtiest water, the most dangerous toxins, at the very top?in the office of the president, which is the highest water?then the water below will be poisoned and contaminated, and people cannot live consuming that filth."
Kim stated, "(This candidate) is currently the most dangerous, the murkiest, and the most disgraceful," and added, "Not only himself, but even his wife has been convicted because of the corporate credit card, and his son has also been convicted for gambling."
He also referred to recent remarks by Jensen Huang, the Taiwanese-American CEO of Nvidia, who said, "How can you have an AI industry without nuclear power plants?" Kim argued, "If someone who has the misguided idea that nuclear power is unacceptable becomes president, they will once again abolish nuclear power and, under the guise of being eco-friendly, promote absurd ideas like solar power."
Earlier in the morning, Kim visited Gwanggyo New Town in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, and said, "Gwanggyo is ten times larger than Daejang-dong," adding, "Daejang-dong is a small area of less than 300,000 pyeong, but so many people have died, public officials have been arrested, and trials are still ongoing."
Kim emphasized, "The president is merely a servant of the sovereign people. Aren't all members of the National Assembly and mayors also servants of the people?" He continued, "But now, these servants act as if they are something special, hiding behind bulletproof glass and wearing bulletproof vests, trying to pass all sorts of bulletproof monster legislation to establish a dictatorial presidency. This cannot be allowed. Please make sure to vote."
