On this day, Chairman Kim explained on his social media (SNS) Facebook page, "The People Power Party's official stance must align with the universal values of the party constitution and regulations. Decisions by the national judiciary, such as rulings by the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court, are irreversible grounds for determining the party's position."
Chairman Kim stated, "Therefore, the party's adoption of a stance against the impeachment of the president last year must be nullified in accordance with the outcome of the presidential impeachment trial."
He continued, "The political community must embrace both the citizens who supported impeachment and those who opposed it, recognizing the sincerity and patriotism of each, from the perspective of political diversity and national unity." He further explained, "In addition, the interpretations and judgments of each lawmaker, who is a constitutional institution, must also be respected with dignity."
He added, "Nevertheless, the official stance of a liberal democratic party must be established by applying the universal constitutional spirit in the strictest manner." He continued, "The People Power Party promises unwavering reform, and we will swiftly move forward as a party that protects and practices liberal democracy, where universal values and diversity are respected."
