The newborn boy, who had just been delivered, was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but was ultimately pronounced dead.

The passenger aircraft, operated by Jeju Air, had departed from Clark, Philippines, and arrived at Incheon Airport at approximately 6:21 a.m. on the same day. The police plan to investigate the mother, a woman in her 30s of Philippine nationality, as well as others involved, to determine the specific circumstances of the childbirth.

A police official stated, "Since the baby was born and died on a Korean-registered aircraft, the Korean police will conduct the investigation," adding, "We will examine the entire childbirth process and determine the cause of death."
