Sungjae Im faltered at the Memorial Tournament on the PGA Tour (total prize money of $20 million).
On May 31 (local time), at Muirfield Village Golf Club (par 72, 7,569 yards) in Dublin, Ohio, USA, he carded a 1-over-par 73 with two birdies and three bogeys in the third round. As a result, he dropped slightly from a tie for 18th the previous day to a tie for 20th (2-over-par 218).

Having recorded three top-10 finishes this season, Sungjae Im has been hovering around the 20th position at this tournament, starting tied for 23rd on the first day. He is currently three shots behind the group tied for 10th (1-under-par 215), leaving him with a realistic chance to secure his fourth top-10 finish of the season.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) soared to the lead (8-under-par 208) by collecting four birdies without a bogey. After winning The CJ Cup Byron Nelson last month and the major PGA Championship, he has set himself up for his third victory of the season and a successful title defense. Last week's Charles Schwab Challenge winner Ben Griffin (USA) was unable to improve his score and dropped to second place (7-under-par 209), one shot behind, while Nick Taylor (Canada) sits in third (5-under-par 211).
Jordan Spieth and Keegan Bradley (both USA), along with Jeff Straka (Austria), are tied for fourth (3-under-par 213), while Rickie Fowler and Patrick Cantlay (both USA) and Shane Lowry (Ireland) are tied for seventh (2-under-par 214). Kim Siwoo lost two strokes with two birdies and four bogeys and is tied for 31st (5-over-par 221).
