Operated on June 2 and 4 for Two Days
The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) announced that regular applications for policy funds in June will be accepted on June 2 and June 4. This adjustment was made because June 3 has been designated as the date of the 21st presidential election.
KOSME operates a regular application period for SME policy funds during the first week of every month until the budget is exhausted. If there is any adjustment to the application schedule, it is announced in advance on the KOSME website. The status of available policy funds can be checked on the 'Regional Branch Budget Status' section of the KOSME website.
This application period also includes 500 billion KRW in policy funds secured through the first supplementary budget last month. The main types of funds available for application are: 100 billion KRW in emergency funds to respond to trade risks, 300 billion KRW in emergency business stabilization funds, and 100 billion KRW in new market entry support funds.
In particular, the emergency funds to respond to trade risks, newly established this year, will omit the policy priority evaluation in order to focus support on SMEs that are experiencing business difficulties, regardless of their years in operation, if they handle items subject to U.S. tariffs or have a high proportion of exports to the United States.
