Three first-prize winners who selected their Lotto numbers manually drew attention as they all purchased their tickets at the same retailer. If the tickets belong to the same individual, the total prize would exceed 5.7 billion won.
Donghaeng Lottery, the operator of Lotto, announced on May 31 that the winning numbers for the 1,174th Lotto draw were '8, 11, 14, 17, 36, 39'. The bonus number for the second prize was '22'. There were 15 first-prize winners who matched all six numbers. Each winner will receive 1,910,619,425 won.
There were 85 second-prize winners who matched five numbers plus the bonus number, with each receiving 56,194,689 won. A total of 3,196 people won the third prize by matching five numbers, with each receiving 1,494,540 won. For the fourth prize, 158,944 people matched four numbers and will each receive 50,000 won. For the fifth prize, 2,670,129 people matched three numbers and will each receive 5,000 won.
Among the winners, three first-prize tickets purchased manually at a single retailer in Dong-gu, Ulsan, have attracted significant attention. If these tickets were purchased by the same person, the total prize would exceed 5.7 billion won. It is commonly known that those who prefer the manual selection method often buy multiple tickets with the same numbers. Therefore, when multiple winning tickets are sold at the same retailer, there is a high possibility that they were purchased by the same individual.
Meanwhile, the deadline for claiming prize money is within one year from the start date of payment. If the last day for claiming the prize falls on a holiday, winners can claim their prize on the next business day.
