He also stated, "We will open the path to national unity through veterans' affairs that transcend politics and ideology," and added, "We will normalize the status and functions of the National Veterans Affairs Commission to ensure the neutrality of veterans' policies, and appoint executives of veterans' public institutions, such as the Independence Hall of Korea, by considering their representativeness and historical significance."
Additionally, he said, "We will ensure that veterans' events become venues for national unity where all generations participate," and emphasized, "We will thoroughly prepare for the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, making it an opportunity to set history right."

He emphasized, "We will ensure that, after the passing of a war veteran, low-income elderly surviving family members do not face livelihood concerns due to the discontinuation of government support," and added, "We will reduce disparities in veterans' honor allowances between local governments and prepare comprehensive, tailored measures for elderly national merit recipients."
