Under this program, the city will provide annual support for interest payments up to 3% of the outstanding balance of a home purchase loan (within a limit of 50 million won), with a maximum support amount of 1.5 million won per year. Detailed information can be found on the Changwon City Hall website under Administrative Information > Department Resources (Housing Policy Division), City News > Latest News, and the Notices & Announcements board.

Eligible applicants are newlywed couples who have purchased and are residing in a home in Changwon. All of the following conditions must be met: the applicant must be living in the home as of the announcement date; the marriage period must be within seven years; the combined annual income of the couple must not exceed 100 million won; the exclusive residential area must be 85 square meters or less; the home price must not exceed 600 million won; and the home must be purchased within one year before or up to seven years after the marriage registration date. Support is available for up to five years, provided the eligibility requirements are met each year after application.

The application period is from July 1 to July 31. Applications can be submitted in person at the local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Center corresponding to the applicant's address, or online through the Gyeongnam Baro Service.

After reviewing qualifications, the city plans to select recipients and distribute the support funds by the end of October.

Park Seongok, Director of Urban Policy, stated, "We hope this program will provide real help in easing the housing cost burden and stabilizing housing for newlywed couples. We will continue to work on various housing welfare policies to make Changwon Special City a great place to have and raise children."
