Reducing College Admissions Burden
Through Fair Admissions and
Stronger High School-University Connections
Silla University (President Heo Namsik) has been selected for the "2025-2026 University Support Project for Contribution to High School Education," organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korean Council for University Education.
With this selection, Silla University will participate in the project for the third consecutive year since 2022.
The "University Support Project for Contribution to High School Education" is a government-funded initiative launched in 2014. Its aim is to alleviate the burden on college applicants and enhance the quality of high school education by promoting fair and transparent university admissions processes and strengthening the connection between high school curricula and university admissions.
This year, a total of 92 universities were selected. The Ministry of Education conducted a comprehensive evaluation based on criteria such as fairness of admissions, connection with high school education, social responsibility, and budget management.
Through this project, Silla University plans to focus on key tasks over the next two years, including expanding connections with high school education and strengthening the accountability and fairness of university admissions processes.
Kang Hyunkyung, Director of Admissions at Silla University, stated, "This selection is the result of Silla University faithfully operating projects connecting with high school education over the past three years." She added, "We will continue to reduce the information gap in college admissions and operate fair admissions processes, thereby easing the burden on applicants and parents and further strengthening our connection with local high schools."
