This campaign is BISTEP's annual eco-friendly initiative, serving as an 'ESG practice volunteer' program that combines walking with picking up litter.

This year, participants collected and sorted waste along a 5-kilometer round-trip route from Haeundae Beach to Dongbaek Island. The event was held in conjunction with the 'Haeundae Sand Festival,' the nation's largest eco-friendly exhibition festival, and was joined by about 80 executives and staff from seven public institutions belonging to the Centum District ESG Council.

The participating organizations included: Busan Institute of Science and Technology for Education Promotion, Game Rating and Administration Committee, Busan Technology Startup Investment Institute, APEC Climate Center, Busan Cinema Center, Korean Film Council, and Korea Youth Counseling and Welfare Institute.

Participants used the 'Busan Volunteer Bank' app to complete the mission "Enjoy the Sand Festival! Pick Up Trash!" and digitally certified their volunteer activities.

A BISTEP representative explained, "By combining digital tools with ESG practices, we added significance as a new model of public service."

Kim Youngbu, President of BISTEP, stated, "This Ssedam Walk was a symbolic occasion for ESG practice and regional solidarity through collaboration among local public institutions," adding, "We plan to continuously expand environmental cleanup and community activities in connection with the local community."
