The basic volunteer education held on this day covered topics such as understanding the meaning and value of volunteering, its social impact, and important considerations during volunteer activities. The session also introduced representative examples of S-OIL's corporate social responsibility programs, emphasizing the necessity and importance of corporate social contribution.
Following the basic education, the new employees carried out environmental cleanup activities along the Mokdo Evergreen Forest coast, which is designated as Natural Monument No. 65. The new hires collected a total of 30 bags of marine debris and household waste that had washed up on the shore. They also conducted a "Take Your Trash Home" campaign targeting nearby anglers, delivering a message of environmental protection.
Afterward, the group visited Daewangam Park, a major tourist attraction in Ulsan, where they participated in plogging activities along the walking trails with the Ulsan University Student Volunteer Group. Through team-based assignments, they also had the opportunity to develop the basic competencies of a volunteer.
One new employee who participated in the activities expressed their aspirations, saying, "By directly understanding and participating in my company's social contribution activities, I will take a more active role in sharing and supporting marginalized neighbors in the local community in the future."
S-OIL continues to carry out a variety of employee volunteer activities, including the Sunshine Sharing Volunteer Program in partnership with social welfare organizations, kimchi-making volunteer activities, underwater coastal cleanup volunteer work in Ulsan, and bread-making volunteer activities.
This year, through the "Warmth Sharing Campaign" being promoted in collaboration with the Ulsan Volunteer Center, the company is taking the lead in fostering and spreading a culture of sharing among all citizens.
