Seoul Book Bogo Reopens... Publishers Association to Create Book Experience-Centered Curated Space

According to the association, with this reopening, Seoul Book Bogo will operate as a complex cultural space where visitors can enjoy book culture in a variety of ways, including curated bookshelves, pop-up shelves, a transcription area, a cafe, and a lifestyle store, along with a renewal of the space.

With the keyword "Hyeonghyeongsaekchaek (形形色冊)," the pop-up shelves will change throughout the seasons, just as the colors of the seasons change. The venue will introduce a pop-up style seasonal program four times a year, with each season featuring new themes, curated book selections, and cultural programs. Seoul Book Bogo is also seeking to expand its content through collaborations with brands on these pop-up shelves.

The first season, "Spring Day Book Greenhouse," is curated with the concept of a book greenhouse in the heart of the city, featuring books from a variety of fields. The main pop-up shelf for this season features Changbi, which will display carefully selected books by theme. Brand partner LG Electronics will present its indoor plant cultivator "LG Tiiun" inside Seoul Book Bogo, creating a space where plants and books coexist. In addition, visitors can discover a range of books on the theme of plants, recommended by botanical illustrator Lee Soyoung, literary critic Park Hyejin, and Vostok Press CEO Kim Hyeonho.

The curated bookshelves feature a diverse selection of books exhibited by 19 publishers chosen through an open call. Each publisher's shelf showcases books that reflect its unique identity and innovative planning, allowing visitors to discover the diversity of books.

Events to encourage citizen participation will also be held. On June 12, a book talk with Kim Geumhee, author of "The Great Greenhouse Repair Report," will take place in the lounge at Seoul Book Bogo. In addition, various citizen participation programs are planned, including cultural and arts education programs tailored to the 2030 book trends and the "Text Hip" phenomenon, reading community gatherings, and the "Hip Dog Club."

Seoul Book Bogo plans to continue providing new experiences that connect books, culture, and life each season, and to establish its identity as a platform leading the book ecosystem in the city.
