A Hallyu Festival for All Generations to Enjoy Together
The Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Agency will host the 'K-Culture Festival' on June 7 at the Gyeonggi Future Education Paju Campus (formerly Paju English Village). Designed to foster intergenerational understanding and promote the spread of Hallyu culture, the event will feature seven themed zones and 24 hands-on experience booths.
One of the themed zones, 'K-Square,' will present performance content that can be enjoyed by all generations. The 'Evengers Musical' will bring together popular EBS characters such as 'Lightning Man,' 'Bboongbboongi,' 'Yaho,' and 'Ttukttaki.' In addition, a special lecture on future convergent science will be delivered by Dr. Kwon Il-yong, Korea's first-generation profiler.
At the 'K-Mini Stage,' a variety of performances will take place, including K-POP cover dance, magic juggling, and yodeling. The 'K-Playground' will offer a space where visitors can experience ten types of traditional games such as ttakji-chigi (slap-match), marble games, and tuho (arrow-throwing) at any time. The 'K-Broadcast Content Zone' will provide experiential content for youth who aspire to become future leaders of Hallyu, including vocal recording, animation voice acting, and drama acting experiences. In addition, supplementary programs combining education and hands-on activities, such as making LED K-cheering sticks and CPR emergency response training, will also be available.
Oh Hu-seok, Director of the Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Agency, stated, "I hope this festival will be a venue where residents can directly experience K-culture, and an opportunity for northern Gyeonggi to become a hub of Hallyu culture reaching out to the world."
Anyone can participate in the event free of charge by pre-registering or signing up on-site on the day of the event. For more details, please visit the official website of the 'Paju K-Culture Festival.'
