On the 30th, Chungnam Province held a meeting in the external reception room of the provincial government office, where Vice Governor for Political Affairs Jeon Hyungsik met with Zhao Bin, Vice Chairman of the Hebei Federation of Industry and Commerce of China, along with a delegation of 17 business representatives. They discussed practical measures to expand economic and trade cooperation between the two regions.

Chungnam Province and Hebei Province have maintained continuous exchanges and cooperation for over 30 years since forming a sisterhood relationship.

Hebei Province, a strategic location adjacent to Beijing, the capital of China, has a population of approximately 75 million and boasts a strong industrial base in steel, automobiles, chemicals, and new energy. Recently, the province has also been accelerating the development of future industries such as the digital economy and green industries.

This visit is a follow-up to the economic exchange agreement signed between the Chungnam Northern Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Hebei Federation of Industry and Commerce during Governor Kim Taeheum's visit to China in November last year. Based on this agreement, the two organizations have agreed to establish a practical business exchange platform and expand mutual cooperation.

Vice Governor Jeon stated, "Chungnam Province leads advanced industries such as semiconductors, secondary batteries, and eco-friendly energy in Korea. Cooperation with Hebei Province will provide new growth opportunities for companies in both regions," adding, "We will continue to actively support the activation of sustainable and practical international economic cooperation at the local level."

Meanwhile, before visiting the provincial government office on the same day, the delegation visited Jeonggwanjang in Buyeo to tour a ginseng production facility. Afterwards, they moved to the Chungnam Northern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where they held a meeting with representatives from 11 local companies specializing in automotive materials and industrial film production.
