Lee Eungwoo: "A Starting Point for Enhancing Tourism Competitiveness... Developing Effective Strategies"
On May 30, the city of Gyeryong, South Chungcheong Province, held a kick-off briefing session for the 'Gyeryong City Comprehensive Tourism Development Plan' at the city hall situation room.
The briefing was attended by approximately 20 people, including Mayor Lee Eungwoo, relevant city officials, and representatives from the consulting firm. The participants systematically explored the direction for tourism development in Gyeryong and shared a blueprint for revitalizing the city's tourism sector.
The session covered topics such as the current status of tourism in Gyeryong, analysis of domestic and international conditions and case studies, vision and strategy formulation, sector-specific commercialization plans, and post-management and support measures. There was also a comprehensive report on ways to utilize Gyeryong's tourism resources and the potential economic ripple effects.
Through this consulting project, the city plans to conduct a detailed analysis of local characteristics and tourism resources, and, based on this, establish a mid- to long-term tourism roadmap unique to Gyeryong. The goal is to develop practical strategies to boost tourism in the city.
Mayor Lee Eungwoo stated, "This project marks a significant starting point for strengthening the competitiveness of Gyeryong's tourism sector. We will make every effort to ensure the development of effective plans, including gathering citizen feedback, consulting tourism experts, and analyzing best practices from other regions."
