Starting June 1, 2025, Jungnang District in Seoul will fully waive all fees for issuing civil documents through unmanned civil service issuance machines.

Previously, users had to pay a fee of 200 to 500 won, which was 50% of the regular issuance cost, when obtaining documents through these unmanned machines. However, with this new measure, a total of 123 types of civil documents?including resident registration certificates, family relation certificates, and removal from family register certificates?can now be issued completely free of charge. However, real estate registry certificates under the jurisdiction of the court are not included in this free issuance policy.
