Dynamic Design, a company specializing in tire molds, announced on May 29 that it has completed the installation of production facilities at its newly constructed plant in Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia, and plans to hold a completion ceremony at the site on June 18.
After becoming a subsidiary of EV Advanced Materials, an affiliate of the Roa&Co Group, the company established its local corporation in Indonesia in May 2022. It acquired a 71,600-square-meter site in Cirebon and constructed the plant with a total floor area of approximately 16,511 square meters. To enhance structural stability and resilience against natural disasters, the company applied reinforced steel frame structures that meet stricter seismic design standards. In addition, to prevent flooding, the site was elevated about 1.2 meters above the surrounding ground level. These measures to minimize the impact of floods, earthquakes, and other natural disasters extended the construction period of the plant.
In fact, in March of last year, the Cirebon region suffered severe flood damage due to heavy rainfall, affecting more than 160,000 residents across nine districts. However, thanks to the elevated site and advanced drainage system, the company’s plant avoided any damage and construction proceeded on schedule.
The interior of the plant is designed based on expertise accumulated at existing domestic and international production bases, including Korea, to maximize production efficiency. The company expects this will lead to both cost reduction and quality improvement in the future.
With the completion of the Cirebon plant, Dynamic Design has secured its sixth overseas production base, following Korea, China, Romania, Russia, and Mexico. The company has established a global production system capable of expanding its supply coverage to ASEAN countries, as well as India and the Middle East. Dynamic Design expects that once the Cirebon plant begins full-scale mass production, its annual production capacity (CAPA) will increase by more than 30% compared to the previous level.
Dynamic Design is also focusing on talent acquisition and technology internalization alongside the construction of the plant. Since 2023, the company has operated a "Program Center" in Bandung, Indonesia, training 54 local programmers who now supply software for equipment operation to major global bases, including Korea. The company plans to hire an additional 150 people to further strengthen its technological capabilities.
In addition, to ensure the early stabilization of the Cirebon plant, the company has hired 73 local employees so far. Out of a total of 127 employees, including those from the Bandung Center, 44 have been selected to receive technical training at the Korean headquarters, as part of a systematic program to enhance the technical skills of local staff.
A company representative emphasized, "The Cirebon plant in Indonesia is not just an expansion of our production base, but a strategic hub that enables us to simultaneously achieve two goals: expanding our market share in the global market and strengthening our cost competitiveness."
