"We cannot entrust the fish to the cat"
"If we unite and fight together, we can surely win"
Won Heeryong, former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, expressed his support for Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party’s presidential candidate, stating, "Kim Moonsoo is different from Lee Jaemyung."
On May 29, Won wrote on his Facebook account, "Although both served as governors of Gyeonggi Province, unlike Lee Jaemyung, who only talked, Kim Moonsoo truly revived the economy."
He emphasized that Kim devoted his youth to democracy, saying, "He dedicated his youth to suffering workers. He is an honest politician. If we unite and fight together, we can surely win. Please choose Kim Moonsoo."
Won said, "I am sorry. I know I am lacking in many ways. But we cannot entrust the fish to the cat," and pointed out, "Lee Jaemyung and the Democratic Party have already brought South Korea to a standstill with 31 impeachment attempts." He went on to argue, "If Lee Jaemyung gains control of both the National Assembly and the government, it is clear he will become an unchecked power and run rampant."
Won also asserted that if Lee Jaemyung, the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, becomes president, South Korea would become a dictatorship. He criticized, "Already, the legislature has become Lee Jaemyung’s private army. If the executive and judiciary also become Lee Jaemyung’s lapdogs and hunting dogs, the country will become one where they wag their tails for Lee Jaemyung and bite the people."
On the morning of May 29, Won joined Kim Moonsoo’s campaign rally in Incheon, urging, "Let’s vote, win votes, and ensure victory. Let’s fix the flawed systems."
