On the morning of the same day, after casting his early vote with his daughter Dongju at the Gyeyang 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Gyeyang District, Incheon?an area represented by Lee Jaemyung, the candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea?Kim spoke to reporters, saying, "We are currently working to unite as one overall."

The previous night, Kim had made an unannounced visit to the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Yeouido, Seoul, in an attempt to finalize talks on unification with Lee Junseok. However, the meeting did not take place. Kim waited for Lee but left the building after midnight. He stated, "I will continue efforts for unification until the main voting day."

Regarding his decision to vote early in Incheon, the constituency of Lee Jaemyung, Kim explained, "I stopped by after visiting Freedom Park and the statue of General MacArthur in Incheon," but added, "The fact that Lee Jaemyung is here could also be a factor." On voting with his daughter, Kim said, "I am happy to have voted with my daughter," and added, "My wife is campaigning in another region today. Since my daughter's house is nearby, we voted together."

When asked about the controversy over Lee Junseok's remarks concerning Lee Jaemyung's son, Kim said, "I have nothing particular to say," and added, "I am not paying much attention to that issue itself. I have so much to say to Lee Jaemyung himself that I do not need to address his son." He continued, "There is already so much to talk about regarding Lee Jaemyung alone, so I have not commented on it."

Regarding being behind Lee Jaemyung in various polls, Kim explained, "Some polls show me ahead," and said, "After the third and final TV debate, I have been catching up rapidly, so I believe I am sufficiently ahead." He added, "There is growing public sentiment that Kim Moonsoo is needed to overcome this crisis and help the economy recover. Lee Jaemyung began his campaign three years ago, while I have been through many ups and downs and have been running for less than a month. In this critical moment, the final chase is underway."

Regarding concerns about election fraud raised by some conservatives in relation to early voting, Kim stated, "Out-of-district voting involves complicated procedures, and there are concerns about poor management during the printing, transportation, and storage processes." He added, "Although this time the management is thorough, there are still people raising issues." Kim said, "Institutional improvements are necessary, but not voting would be an even bigger problem. That is why I came out and voted first."
