1,000th Customer Delivery Ceremony Held on the 28th
More than 1,000 units of the BYD Atto 3, a compact electric sport utility vehicle (SUV), have been delivered in South Korea just over two months after its domestic launch.
On May 29, BYD Korea announced that it held a delivery ceremony for its 1,000th domestic customer on May 28 at the BYD Auto Seocho showroom.
Yoo Hoseong, who was selected as the 1,000th customer, shared his thoughts, saying, "After a recent test drive at the showroom, I decided to purchase the BYD Atto 3 because of its driving performance and its class-leading value for money."
The BYD Atto 3, which was first introduced in South Korea in January, is a best-selling compact electric SUV that has sold over 1 million units worldwide within three years of its launch.

The model features BYD's core Blade Battery technology and the dedicated pure electric vehicle platform 'e-Platform 3.0,' which have been recognized for providing safety, spaciousness, and stable driving performance. Notably, a variety of convenience features come standard, including a 3D surround view monitor, panoramic sunroof, V2L (vehicle-to-load) technology, a 12.8-inch rotating display, and intelligent cruise control. BYD Korea also attracted industry attention by selling 543 units of the Atto 3 within the first 17 days of sales.
Cho Incheol, Head of the Passenger Car Division at BYD Korea, stated, "An analysis of Atto 3 buyers by age group last month showed balanced interest across all age groups." He added, "BYD Korea will continue to introduce new vehicles with high product value to satisfy a wide range of customers and will strive to foster the growth of the domestic electric vehicle market by offering an optimal service environment."
BYD Korea currently operates 12 official BYD passenger car service centers in major cities nationwide and plans to expand this number to more than 25 by the end of this year to provide an optimal service environment. The number of BYD Auto showrooms will also be increased from the current 15 to more than 30 to strengthen contact points with consumers.
