Ulsan City and the Taehwagang Ecotourism Council announced that from June 1 to July 31, bird safari attraction observation buses will operate every Wednesday through Sunday, with each day dedicated to visiting Taehwagang, Dongcheon, and Hoeyagang, respectively.

There are a total of 20 bird safari attraction sites, each marked with a signboard.

By area, the sites include: ▲ nine locations along Taehwagang from Gusu Bridge to the estuary at Myeongchon Bridge; ▲ three locations along Dongcheon, including observation decks at Banggu-dong and the levee in Nongso 3-dong; ▲ three locations including Jeongja Port, Daewangam Park, and Seuldo; ▲ three locations along Hoeyagang, such as Obok Village in Ungchon Seokcheon-ri, Daebo Bridge in Namchangdeul, and the Bali Bicycle Path deck; and ▲ two locations in Seosaeng-myeon, including Solgae Park and Ganjeolgot.

Ulsan City provides information about summer and winter migratory birds, as well as resident birds at each site, through the Bird Safari website.

In addition, visitors can scan the QR code on each attraction's signboard with their mobile phones to access photos and information about the birds found at the site, making it easier to identify birds observed in the field. Even if a bird is not present at the site, visitors can search the complete photo list to find information about birds observed in Ulsan.

The observation programs by day are as follows: On Wednesdays, under the title 'Dongcheon Bird Safari Attraction Tour,' participants will observe birds at Yeonam Garden in Buk-gu and the Dongcheon observation deck in Nongso 3-dong.

On Thursdays, the program titled 'Daewangam and Seuldo Bird Safari Attraction Tour' will focus on observing birds at Daewangam Park and the Seuldo coastline in Dong-gu.

On Fridays, the 'Taehwagang Estuary Bird Safari Attraction Tour' will include birdwatching at Myeongchon Bridge, the Taehwagang Observatory, Samho Migratory Bird Park, and the Taehwa-dong Ecotourism Experience Center in Jung-gu.

On Saturdays, the 'Taehwagang Seonbawi Bird Safari Attraction Tour' will guide participants along the mid- and upper reaches of Taehwagang, passing Seonbawi Bridge, Seonbawi Park, Mangseong Bridge, and ending at Sail Village.

On Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a full-day 'Hoeyagang Bird Safari Attraction Tour' will be held. Birdwatching activities will take place at Obok Village in Ungchon-myeon, Ulju-gun, at the Hoeyagang estuary near Myeongseon Bridge, and at the Bali Bicycle Path deck along Hoeyagang. Afterwards, participants will visit the Ulju Folk Museum for artifact viewing and hands-on experiences.

Participants must prepare their own lunch, snacks, and water.

From Wednesday to Saturday, the birdwatching programs operate twice daily, at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Applications can be made through the Taehwagang Ecotourism Council website, with a maximum of 12 participants per session on a first-come, first-served basis. Participation is free of charge.

Participants must be at least five years old, able to sit and wear a seatbelt, and must have personal accident insurance at the time of application.

After applying, participants can confirm their reservation on the website, and only those with confirmed reservations will be allowed to board.
