'Gyeongbuk Job Fair for People with Disabilities' Held in Yeongcheon... 27 Companies Participate in One-on-One Interviews

Gyeongbuk Province is hosting the '2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Job Fair for People with Disabilities' at the Yeongcheon Life Sports Center in Yeongcheon City for two days, from May 28 to May 29.


This job fair is organized by Gyeongbuk Province and supervised by the Gyeongbuk Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled. It is designed to provide job seekers with disabilities in Gyeongsangbuk-do with information on job openings across various fields and to create real employment opportunities through one-on-one interviews with participating companies.

Under the slogan "The Beginning of My Job (Naeil)," the event brought together 27 private companies from the province representing diverse industries such as technology, manufacturing, and services, as well as seven related organizations including the Gyeongbuk branch of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled.


On this day, around 900 job seekers with disabilities who had registered in advance visited the venue, actively participating in recruitment consultations and interviews.


In particular, the fair operated customized employment support programs on site, such as taking ID photos for resumes and providing interview hair and makeup services, which received an enthusiastic response from job seekers.


Additionally, booths were set up to provide practical information tailored to job seekers' needs, offering details on vocational training, welfare services, and employment policies?information that is usually difficult for job seekers with disabilities to access.


Yoo Jeonggeun, Director of Welfare and Health at Gyeongbuk Province, stated, "This job fair has become a practical venue where job seekers with disabilities can explore positions suited to their abilities and connect with actual employment opportunities, while companies can directly meet the talent they need. We will continue to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities and promote a variety of customized employment support policies to help resolve the difficulties faced during the job search process."


Meanwhile, the job fair, which began in 2003 and is now in its 21st year, has seen approximately 1,400 job seekers with disabilities participate over the past three years, with 49 of them successfully securing employment. Both the number of participants and employment outcomes have increased each year, establishing the fair as a key event that provides substantial hiring opportunities for job seekers with disabilities in the Gyeongbuk region.
