Interior designer Yang Chaewon, who is active in the United States, has led the design of office spaces for global companies such as LG Energy Solution and Kia with this philosophy. She has been designing spaces where the values pursued by a brand and the work experiences of its members are harmoniously integrated. She is gaining attention for changing the very nature of the work environment itself.

Yang graduated at the top of her class from the University of North Texas with a major in interior design. While in school, she served as the student council marketing chair and gained practical experience through activities with the Interior Design Student Association (IDSA) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). After graduation, she worked at a local American company specializing in office environment design, where she is responsible for space planning, custom furniture design, and workplace strategy.

Her signature project is the office design for LG Energy Solution's Michigan branch. She presented an integrated spatial strategy that reflects both the brand philosophy and employee well-being. She created a warm atmosphere by using curved furniture inspired by LG's iconic 'smile' logo and wood-tone finishes, while restraining the use of brand colors to enhance unity.

The diverse spatial configuration?including a work cafe, focus zone, and private meeting corners?was designed to increase autonomy and immersion for employees. LG headquarters evaluated this strategy positively, and Yang was put in charge of the entire design for the Michigan office. The project has now expanded to the Arizona branch as well.

For the Kia project, she redesigned the custom furniture system to address the flexibility and storage functions that existing products could not meet. By introducing height-adjustable desks and standalone storage units, she created a work environment that embodies the brand philosophy of "Movement that Inspires."
