On the 27th, the Daejeon City Government announced that it had signed an agreement with the Lotte Department Store Daejeon Branch to ensure the successful hosting of the "2025 Daejeon 0si Festival" and to revitalize the local economy.
Under this agreement, the two organizations will closely collaborate to: ▲ successfully host local economy revitalization events such as the "Daejeon 0si Festival"; ▲ commercialize and promote the sale of Daejeon’s tourism resources; and ▲ strengthen information sharing and cooperation capabilities between the institutions.
In particular, during the festival period, Lotte Department Store Daejeon Branch plans to hold the "Daejeon Local Brand Fair" in the B1 event hall and food platform to promote local brands to tourists visiting Daejeon. The department store will also operate special exhibitions to expand sales channels for products from local small and medium-sized enterprises and regional specialty foods.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "I highly appreciate that Lotte Department Store Daejeon Branch is striving to grow together with the local community, going beyond being a simple retail store," and added, "We will work together with the private sector to make the 'Daejeon 0si Festival' a success and inject vitality into the local economy."
Meanwhile, the "2025 Daejeon 0si Festival" will be held for nine days from August 8 to August 16, along a one-kilometer stretch from Daejeon Station to the former Chungnam Provincial Government Office.
