104 Implementation Divisions with Over 2,500 Members
Policy Pledges for Youth Employment and Women's Leadership
Pursuing the Establishment of a Social Transformation Platform
The Generational Convergence Growth Headquarters, under the National Grand Integration Committee directly overseen by Democratic Party candidate Lee Jaemyung, was launched on May 28. The headquarters plans to pursue a national transformation strategy to address issues such as the marginalization of women in a super-aged society and the crisis facing young people.
On this day, the Generational Convergence Growth Headquarters held its inauguration ceremony in a small conference room at the National Assembly, under the slogan "Building a Social Transformation Platform through Cooperation between Political Parties and Civil Society." At the event, the headquarters pledged to implement and take responsibility for generational convergence growth policies in the areas of youth, women, seniors, and leisure and sports.
The headquarters is composed of 104 implementation divisions and about 2,500 members, mainly consisting of people working in industrial sites and on the front lines, in order to present practical and concrete solutions to issues such as the marginalization of women and the loss of opportunities for young people. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Kim Minseok, Senior Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party, Representative Yeom Taeyoung, other officials from the central election committee, Lee Seokhyeon, Co-chair of the National Grand Integration Committee, and Lee Haehak, Head of the Generational Convergence Growth Headquarters.
The implementation policies include: ▲ Creation of growth- and convergence-oriented youth jobs (including youth entrepreneurship, linkage with a volunteer military system, connection with senior industries, smart city and digital transformation, etc.); ▲ Transformation of the welfare structure by utilizing women's leadership (assigning leading roles in practical, everyday-life-based policies such as entrepreneurship and caregiving); ▲ Creation of customized jobs for active seniors (such as smart farms, leisure town management, AI-based caregiving, etc.); ▲ Strengthening support for national leisure activities that drive creativity and health (such as the leisure voucher system and fostering the leisure industry); ▲ Promoting daily sports activities in everyday life (linking sports activities to health management); ▲ Introducing contribution point systems and investment linkage for senior consumption and activities.
The Generational Convergence Growth Headquarters stated, "These generational convergence growth implementation policies are not just simple pledges, but a national transformation strategy that can simultaneously overcome the challenges of a super-aged society, the marginalization of women, and the youth crisis." The headquarters added, "We aim to go beyond the existing welfare-centered structure and build a 'social transformation platform' where seniors, women, and young people can coexist and grow together in practical areas of daily life such as healthcare, AI, caregiving, leisure, and national defense."
