Preparing for the Era of 10 Million Tourists
Discussing Efficient Operation Measures
Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province held the "2025 Beach Operation Plan Meeting" on May 27, attended by about 30 members of the Beach Operation Committee, and began full-scale preparations for the summer beach opening.
This meeting was organized to share the results of beach operations in 2024 and to discuss various improvement measures for more efficient beach management and the creation of an orderly tourist destination, in anticipation of an increase in tourists this year.
During the meeting, participants exchanged opinions on a wide range of topics, including the beach opening schedule, improvements to camping and beach facilities, supplementation of convenience facilities, and strengthening of safety management. The committee members candidly discussed practical issues and sought realistic alternatives to enhance visitor satisfaction.
Uljin County plans to hold a Beach Operation Council meeting in June to finalize the proposals made at this meeting, and to establish a systematic management and operation plan before the beach opens, with the aim of preventing safety accidents and improving convenience for tourists.
County Governor Son Byeongbok expressed his gratitude to the committee members for their efforts to ensure the safety and convenience of visitors. He stated, "We will steadily prepare for the era of 10 million tourists by joining forces between the private sector and the administration, so that Uljin's beaches become a summer destination that many tourists wish to revisit."
