Tongmyong University AMP Alumni Association Inaugurates Bang Donguk, CEO of Mirae Gongjo System, as 8th President

The Graduate School of Tongmyong University International Senior Executive Program (AMP) Alumni Association held its regular general meeting, as well as the inauguration ceremony for the 8th president and the retirement ceremony for the 7th president, at the Westin Chosun Hotel Busan on May 27.

With more than 200 AMP alumni in attendance, the event included the retirement of Choi Taehwan, the 7th president who led the alumni association over the past year and is also the CEO of Taejin Heavy Industries, and the inauguration of the new 8th president, Bang Donguk.


The new president, Bang, pledged, "Following the path paved by my predecessors, I will devote myself to fostering greater communication and unity among members of each class, and to ensuring the continued growth of the Tongmyong University AMP."


The event was also attended by Kang Kyungsoo, Chairman of Tongmyong Cultural Foundation; Lee Sangcheon, President of Tongmyong University; Lee Hwahaeng, Vice President; Lim Namgi, Dean of the Graduate School; as well as Ahn Sugun, former Dean who played a key role in establishing the AMP curriculum, and Oh Euntaek, Mayor of Nam-gu, Busan. A Teacher's Day celebration and a university development fund donation ceremony were also held during the event.


Since its establishment in 2012, the Tongmyong University AMP has produced over 700 alumni. The program was designed to help participants adapt to rapidly changing social realities, revitalize the Korean economy in times of crisis, and discover new engines for future growth.


Through continuous efforts to enhance and differentiate the International Senior Executive Program over the past several years, the AMP has successfully concluded each session with pride, and its carefully selected curriculum has enabled communication with numerous leaders in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regional communities.
