Yoon Yeojoon, the party's chief campaign manager, said during a Central Election Committee meeting held at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, "Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party candidate, is closely connected to former President Yoon Sukyeol. He will likely pardon Yoon Sukyeol and attempt to usher in a second Yoon Sukyeol administration." He continued, "The early voting period begins tomorrow and lasts for two days, so let's be sure to vote and hold them accountable."
Park Chandae, another chief campaign manager, also stated, "Through participation in early voting, we can achieve an end to insurrection, restore people's livelihoods, promote economic growth, and achieve national unity." He emphasized, "The vote is stronger than the sword. If we vote, the people will surely win."
Lee Jae Myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, is expected to participate in early voting on May 29 in Sinchon, a university district in Seoul. The Democratic Party's campaign managers plan to vote early in Seoul, Incheon, Daegu, Chungcheong, and Gyeongnam.
Going forward, the Democratic Party plans to conduct on-site, grassroots election campaigns across the country to encourage voting.
