Operation of 'Heat Relief Shelters' at Branches from June 9 to September 30
Free Distribution of Fans with Messages Supporting Gadeok New Airport
BNK Busan Bank (President: Bang Seongbin) will operate 'Heat Relief Shelters' at 204 branches nationwide from June 9 to September 30, ahead of the full onset of summer heat.
This initiative is part of the bank's social contribution activities, aiming to protect citizens' health from extreme heat and to provide customers with a comfortable place to stay. With forecasts predicting especially intense heat this summer, the shelters will open about a month earlier than last year.
The shelters will be open during regular branch hours, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Citizens can rest comfortably in the shelter area even if they have no banking business. In addition, fans with messages supporting the successful opening of Gadeok New Airport will be provided free of charge.
Lee Jinhee, Head of Business Support at Busan Bank, stated, "This year as well, we have decided to provide a space where anyone can freely take a break so that citizens do not become exhausted by the heat," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our role as a regional bank that goes beyond simple financial services to provide practical support in our customers' daily lives."
