Extension of Retirement Age, and More
The labor and management of HD Hyundai Samho (President Kim Jaeul) have officially begun this year's wage negotiations.
According to HD Hyundai Samho on May 28, the company held the '2025 Wage Negotiation Introduction Meeting' at the company support center the previous day, with President Kim Jaeul, labor union branch chief Hwang Hyungsu, and other labor-management negotiation committee members in attendance.

The joint demands submitted by the labor unions of the three HD Hyundai shipbuilding companies include an increase of 141,300 won in base salary, an extension of the retirement age, and a change in the criteria for calculating performance bonuses.
The individual demands of the HD Hyundai Samho labor union include an increase in summer vacation allowances, an expansion of the scope of ordinary wages, the introduction of a new allowance for certifications and licenses, and improvements in the treatment of night shift workers.
Hwang Hyungsu, the branch chief, said, "I will do my best to achieve negotiation results that encompass both the company's growth and the interests of union members."
President Kim Jaeul stated, "Labor and management will actively participate in the negotiations with a spirit of coexistence, and we will strive to prepare a proposal that will satisfy both sides."
Meanwhile, the labor and management of HD Hyundai Samho have successfully concluded collective bargaining within the year for three consecutive years since 2022.
