"Disarming with Flavor"... 7-Eleven 'Matjangwoo' Ready-to-Eat Meals

Launched 'Matjangwoo Ready-to-Eat Meals' in Collaboration with Actor Lee Jangwoo
Over 40 Varieties Including Lunchboxes, Triangle Kimbap, and Kimbap Rolls

Since March of last year, 7-Eleven has partnered with actor Lee Jangwoo to launch the 'Matjangwoo' line of ready-to-eat meals. The Matjangwoo meals, which aim to "disarm with flavor," have so far included more than 40 food items such as lunchboxes, triangle kimbap, and kimbap rolls.

These ready-to-eat meals have gained popularity among consumers thanks to their generous portions, menus with broad appeal, and flavors personally developed by Lee Jangwoo. In fact, after being selected as the model for the ready-to-eat meal line in March of last year, Lee Jangwoo personally visited the production facilities to participate in the manufacturing and testing process.

The 'Matjangwoo Kimbap Original' includes four more kimbap pieces than the standard kimbap product (which contains eight pieces), offering a portion size satisfying enough even for large adult men.

The 'Matjangwoo Jeonju Bibim Triangle Kimbap' also increased its weight by about 35% compared to regular triangle kimbap and was released as part of the 'Bigger Triangle Kimbap' series. The Matjangwoo series has further expanded with the launch of the 'Kingjangwoo Ddeumbuk Tuna Kimbap,' which features more than twice the amount of topping compared to previous products and is now being offered as a steady seller.

In March of this year, two new Lee Jangwoo lunchboxes were introduced under the concept of "flavors Lee Jangwoo wants to boast about." The new products are the 'Matjangwoo Flavors Charcoal-grilled Dakgalbi Lunchbox' and the 'Matjangwoo Flavors Budae Stir-fry Lunchbox.' Both dishes are popular meal choices among Koreans, with broad appeal and high satisfaction.

The Matjangwoo Flavors Charcoal-grilled Dakgalbi Lunchbox features thick pieces of dakgalbi (spicy grilled chicken) as the main dish, served with white rice. The dakgalbi is grilled over charcoal for a smoky aroma and a sweet-and-sour flavor, and is accompanied by buckwheat noodles as a side dish. The Budae Stir-fry Lunchbox is filled with four different types of ham and emphasizes a spicy flavor profile. It also includes meatball vegetable stir-fry, perilla seed canola greens, ham potato vegetable stir-fry, and pickled radish, providing a well-balanced meal.
