Eastar Jet announced on May 28 that it has launched "Tokushima Ramen" to promote its exclusive Incheon-Tokushima route.

The airline collaborated with 7-Eleven, Harim, and Tokushima Prefecture to recreate Tokushima ramen as a Korean-style cup noodle called "Tokushima Ramen." Starting today, it is available for purchase at 7-Eleven stores nationwide, and it will also be served onboard Eastar Jet flights beginning next month.


Tokushima Ramen features the unique combination of soy sauce and pork bone broth that is only found in Tokushima. It boasts a clean-tasting broth and chewy noodles, flavors that are difficult to find in Korea. The ramen also includes an egg block for a savory yet mild taste, and after eating about half, customers can add the enclosed juice of "Sudachi" (a local green citrus specialty of Tokushima) to enhance the umami flavor.


Through the launch of Tokushima Ramen, Eastar Jet plans to raise awareness of Tokushima Prefecture and promote its appeal as a travel destination. By scanning the promotional QR code included on the ramen packaging, customers can easily access information on recommended travel courses, major tourist attractions, popular restaurants, shopping, transportation, and accommodations in Tokushima.


To celebrate the launch of Tokushima Ramen, a special event is also being held. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, a free tasting event and a raffle for Tokushima flight tickets will take place at the 7-Eleven Challenge Store located in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul.


An Eastar Jet representative stated, "Tokushima is still a relatively unknown city to Koreans, but in Japan, it is renowned as a gourmet destination, especially for ramen. We planned this collaboration to make the Tokushima region more familiar to people by leveraging the popularity of convenience stores."
