Gangdong-gu to Operate "Pet Plant Clinic" at Pharmix Center

Visiting Service Also Available
Free Diagnosis for Up to Three Potted Plants Per Person

Starting in June, Gangdong-gu, Seoul will operate the "Pet Plant Clinic" at the Pharmix Center (314, Godeok-ro). As the culture of caring for plants like family members?known as "pet plants"?continues to spread, Gangdong-gu plans to support residents' emotional well-being and healing by providing professional plant diagnosis and customized treatment services.

At the "Pet Plant Clinic," certified plant experts will offer practical consultations that even beginners can easily follow, including plant disease and pest diagnosis, customized treatment, and care education. The service is available in 30-minute sessions on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Each person can receive free consultations for up to three potted plants. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Seoul Public Service Reservation website.


For residents who have difficulty visiting the Pharmix Center, a "Visiting Pet Plant Clinic" will also be operated, where experts visit locations such as apartment complexes. This service is offered in the form of a "Pet Plant Communication Time," which includes plant disease and pest diagnosis, repotting practice, and care education. Residents can apply in advance by phone.


Lee Hyunsam, head of the Green City Division of Gangdong-gu, stated, "Through the Pet Plant Clinic, I hope residents will learn how to keep their precious plants healthy and enjoy emotional stability and healing with their plants," adding, "We will continue to work on creating an urban environment where people and plants thrive together."
