Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) will launch a promotional campaign to encourage voter participation in the local community ahead of the 21st presidential election, scheduled for June 3.

The corporation plans to encourage active voter participation among urban railway passengers and local residents by ensuring employees have time to vote, posting election notices inside stations, and promoting the election through its website and online channels.

To this end, the corporation will guarantee the voting rights of its executives and employees by supporting flexible voting participation for on-site shift workers during the early voting period on May 29 and 30, as well as on the main election day, June 3, in accordance with voting hours.

Additionally, the corporation will place posters and informational booklets in all stations, and will continuously display promotional messages on platform destination displays during the voting period to efficiently deliver election information to passengers.

Furthermore, the corporation plans to actively promote voter turnout through various media, including sending group text messages to encourage voting, organizing participation certification events for employees, broadcasting announcements at headquarters and depots, and utilizing website and online banners, so that high interest in voting translates into actual participation.

President Cho Ikmun stated, "As a public enterprise in the local community, we are actively promoting so that citizens can exercise their valuable right to vote," and added, "I hope everyone will exercise this important right for the development of both Korea and Gwangju."
