Kaden, located in Yeonhuidong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, is a restaurant operated by star chef Jung Hoyoung. It has recently gained popularity, especially among younger customers. Through this collaboration, Emart plans to offer Japanese noodle dishes at a level comparable to specialty restaurants, but at affordable prices.
Emart has launched three products: "Kaden Jung Hoyoung Perilla Oil Bibim Udon (200g, 2 servings)," "Kaden Jung Hoyoung Chilled Soba (218.3g, 2 servings)," and "Kaden Jung Hoyoung Perilla Oil Inari Chilled Udon (228.3g, 2 servings)," each priced at 5,480 KRW. These three types of Kaden udon and soba are summer menu items that can be enjoyed cold and conveniently.
These products are available for purchase on SSG.com and at Emart Everyday. At Traders, the "Kaden Jung Hoyoung Perilla Oil Bibim Udon" is offered in a larger size?400g, 3 servings?for 11,480 KRW.

The convenience store Emart24 has also recently expanded its collaborations with chefs. On this day, Emart24 is introducing three co-developed products with fusion Korean chef Austin Kang under the "Chef's Kick" lineup.
The new products are three types of fusion Korean dishes: "God Jangajji Dongchimi Noodles" (4,900 KRW), "Jangajji Soy Sauce Bibimbap" (4,900 KRW), and "Topping Inari Sushi" (3,900 KRW). Special recipes, including chef Austin Kang's recommended seasoned vegetables and soy sauce marinade, have been incorporated.
The reason why the distribution industry is actively collaborating with chefs on a large scale is that the effectiveness of such collaborations has already been proven. Last year, Emart and Kaden's collaborative products, "Nagasaki Jjamppong Soup" and "Maze Udon," received a great response, with approximately 47,000 and 33,000 units sold, respectively, since their launch in February.
The same is true for Emart24. According to an analysis of sales of the "Chef's Kick" series, which Emart24 launched last month in collaboration with renowned chefs, chef Choi Hyunseok's "Pumpkin Cream Gnocchi" ranked second in the cooked noodles category, while chef Yeo Kyungrae's "Kkanpunggi and Kkanpung Dumplings" ranked third in the snacks and side dishes category.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch, discount events will also be held. From May 30 to June 12, Emart will offer the three types of Kaden Jung Hoyoung udon and soba at 3,980 KRW each, which is 1,500 KRW less than the regular price, when purchased with a promotional card. Throughout June, Emart24 will hold an event where five "Chef's Kick" products can be purchased at a 30% discount when paid for with a promotional card (BC Card or Hana Card).
