Federation of 27 Gwangju High School Alumni Association Presidents Launched
Over 50,000 Members... Executive Team Formed and Activities Begin

Kyungbo Lee, president of the Gwangju Soongil High School Alumni Association, has been elected as the inaugural president of the newly launched Federation of Gwangju Regional High School Alumni Association Presidents (hereinafter referred to as Gwangchongyeon).
Gwangchongyeon, which consists of the alumni association presidents of 27 high schools in the Gwangju area, held its inaugural general meeting on the afternoon of the 20th. After two hours of intense debate and discussion, the federation established its bylaws and elected Kyungbo Lee, president of the Soongil High School Alumni Association, as its first president. The executive team, including the senior vice president, secretary general, and auditor, was also formed, marking the official start of the federation's activities.
President Kyungbo Lee stated, "I hope the launch of Gwangchongyeon will contribute to fostering friendship among members, advancing the federation, and promoting the development of the local community." He added, "Since personal networks in Gwangju are often centered around high school alumni, the launch of Gwangchongyeon will be a great opportunity to create diverse networks."
Newly appointed President Kyungbo Lee graduated from the College of Business Administration at Chonnam National University and obtained a master's degree from the same university's graduate school. He currently serves as an advisor to the National Unification Advisory Council, is president of the Korea-China Economic, Cultural and Educational Association, and has completed various programs at Chonnam National University's Advanced Management Program, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), and Korea Productivity Center (KPC), building an extensive network of personal connections.

The high school alumni association presidents who attended the inaugural general meeting included Kyungpyo Hong of Gwangju Jeil High School, Sangcheol Lee of Gwangju High School, Yeonhee Kim of Kyungshin Girls' High School, Bugon Kim of Gwangdeok High School, Jaedong Lee of Gwangju Technical High School, Sungsook Kim of Gwangju Girls' High School, Chilnam Kim of Gwangju Girls' Commercial High School, Sungeun Kim of Kumho High School, Jungseon Oh of Daekwang Girls' High School, Seunghwan Yang of Daedong High School, Kyuhwan Park of Dongsung High School, Sookwan Kim of Dongshin High School, Hoon Choi of Munseong High School, Chanjoeng Kim of Salesio High School, Sangseung Kim of Songwon High School, Inhwa Hong of Supia Girls' High School, Juil Oh of Soongui Science and Technology High School, Kyungbo Lee of Soongil High School, Jongsun Ham of Jeonnam Technical High School, Yongtae Jin of Jeonnam National University High School, and Junghui Lee of Jeonggwang High School.
Gwangchongyeon operates with regular and associate members and will hold regular meetings every two months. Currently, there are 27 high school alumni associations in the Gwangju area, and with an estimated 50,000 graduates per school, the organization boasts a membership of at least 1.5 million, making it a large-scale organization.
