According to the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency on the 27th, at around 10:00 a.m. that day, a teenage male, referred to as A, visited the police agency in person and submitted a written confession. A is suspected of having posted a message on the anonymous community "Everytime" at Ajou University at 10:51 a.m. the previous day, reading, "If you stab Lee Jaemyung with a knife today, I'll give you money. Contact me."
On the same day the post appeared, at 11:00 a.m. on the 26th, candidate Lee Jaemyung held a meeting with university students at Ajou University, discussing youth policy and other topics.
