Daegu Cyber University will begin accepting applications for new and transfer students for the 2025 academic year’s second semester starting from June 1.

In particular, the university is focusing on nurturing human-centered professionals who cannot be replaced even in the age of artificial intelligence (AI), and plans to cultivate core talents required by future society through 15 specialized departments.

This recruitment will select new students across a total of 15 majors, including Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Speech Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Counseling Psychology, Psychomotor Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Welfare, Social Welfare Counseling, Special Education, Korean Language and Multicultural Studies, Public Administration, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and K-Food Business.

Notably, fields such as psychology, counseling, therapy, and special education are specialized in healing and care, enabling students to design careers that realize both practical job competencies and social value.

With over 20 years of accumulated expertise in online education, the university provides a true ‘lifelong learning’ environment by operating immersive content and a customized learning support system that go beyond simple remote lectures.

In addition, the practical curriculum linked to more than 20 national and private certifications enables students to pursue careers as professionals such as speech rehabilitation therapists, clinical psychologists, and youth counselors. Furthermore, the micro-degree program, which allows for convergence across various majors, greatly contributes to enhancing students’ job versatility.

The Daegu Cyber University Graduate School (Department of Art Counseling), which established the world’s first online doctoral program in art counseling and therapy, will also begin accepting applications for new master’s and doctoral students from May 29.

The university also eases students’ financial burden by offering an industry-sponsored admissions track for working professionals, affordable tuition of about 1,360,000 KRW for 18 credits, and more than 40 types of diverse scholarship programs.

Additionally, the online one-stop application system allows anyone to easily apply through an online process that only requires a study plan and aptitude assessment.

Jeon Jongguk, Dean of Admissions (Executive Vice President), stated, “Cyber universities are now not just a supplementary means, but the educational standard of the digital era,” adding, “Daegu Cyber University is an integrated educational platform that nurtures future talents with both expertise and convergence capabilities, and we look forward to the challenges of passionate individuals preparing for their second life.”
