On this day, Osan City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the "Seorang Reservoir Connection Road Expansion Project" at the temporary parking lot of Seorang Reservoir, attended by Mayor Lee Kwonjae, City Council Chairman Lee Sangbok, city and provincial council members, and local residents.
This project aims to improve accessibility by connecting Seorang Reservoir with the surrounding area, and involves the construction of a two-lane road approximately 1 kilometer in length and 18 meters in width, along with roadside parking lots on both sides. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026. The city plans to begin construction on sections where compensation has already been completed and to finish the entire project in phases.
Originally, the project was to be funded by the city budget, but according to the city, thanks to the efforts of Mayor Lee and the relevant departments, it is being carried out in the form of a public contribution, resulting in a budget savings of 22 billion KRW.
The city also expects that, with the start of the access road construction, the "Seorang Reservoir Citizen Healing Space Project"?which includes a circular walking trail, a musical fountain, and landscape lighting around the reservoir?will also gain momentum.

Mayor Lee stated, "The groundbreaking of the access road marks the starting point for Seorang Reservoir to become a beloved attraction for both citizens and tourists," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure the project is completed on schedule without any setbacks."
