Osan City Accepting "Citizen Award" Nominations Until June 16

Winners to Be Selected in Four Categories Including Local Community Development

On May 27, the city of Osan, Gyeonggi Province, announced that it will be accepting nominations for candidates for the "37th Osan Citizen Award" until June 16.

This award is a system that selects and recognizes citizens who have dedicated themselves to the development of the local community and serve as exemplary role models. The recipients will be determined by the Citizen Award Merit Review Committee after verifying the eligibility of the candidates and conducting a review. The award ceremony will be held during the commemorative event for the 37th Osan Citizens' Day, which is scheduled for September.

The city plans to select one recipient in each of the four categories: ▲local community development ▲economy and safety ▲social welfare ▲culture and sports.

Eligible nominees, as of May 19, include: ▲individuals who have been registered residents of Osan for at least three years ▲natives whose registered domicile is Osan but currently reside elsewhere ▲individuals who have worked at a workplace within Osan for at least three years. Both ordinary citizens and public officials who have made outstanding contributions in each category are eligible for nomination.
