The College of International Studies and the Global College of Engineering at Silla University organized the "Korean Traditional Culture Experience Event," which included visits to major historical sites such as Bulguksa Temple, Cheomseongdae Observatory, and Daereungwon Tomb Complex. The event aimed to help international students adapt to life in Korea and deepen their understanding of Korean traditional culture and historical heritage.

A total of 311 international students from various countries, including China, Vietnam, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, India, and Cambodia, participated in the event.

Through their visit to Bulguksa Temple, known for its intricate stone architecture and serene atmosphere, the students were able to experience the depth of Korean Buddhist culture. At Cheomseongdae Observatory, they expressed their amazement at the astronomical technology of ancient Silla. Touring the Daereungwon Tomb Complex, they gained a sense of the artistic achievements and historical significance of the Silla royal family.

Although the international students initially felt awkward due to differences in living environments and cultures, the hands-on activities provided them not only with an opportunity to learn about Korean traditional culture but also to build friendships, allowing the event to conclude successfully in a joyful atmosphere.

Le Thi Thuyung, an international student from Silla University who participated in the event, shared, "This event, where I was able to directly visit and experience the Korean historical sites and traditional culture I had only seen in textbooks, will remain a meaningful memory of my study abroad life in Korea. I am grateful to Silla University for helping me gain a deeper understanding of Korean society and culture, and I will strive to learn even more about its culture."

Shim Hyeongcheol, Dean of the College of International Studies, and Lee Seongsu, Dean of the Global College of Engineering at Silla University, commented, "It was a very meaningful time to experience traditional culture together with international students during the spring in Korea. We will continue to operate programs that allow international students to directly see and experience various cultures, helping them to deepen their understanding and affection for Korea."
