Seol Youngwoo Appointed as Ulju County's First Official Promotional Ambassador
Vows to Raise Ulju's Profile with a Commitment to Its Residents

Ulju County in Ulsan has appointed national soccer player Seol Youngwoo as its first official promotional ambassador.

On May 27, Ulju County held an ambassador appointment ceremony at the Ulju Gallery on the first floor of the county office and presented the appointment certificate to Seol. The event was attended by Ulju County Mayor Lee Soongeol, Seol Youngwoo and his father Seol Hogang, Cheon Myeongjae, CEO of the agency, as well as relevant public officials.

Seol is the first officially appointed promotional ambassador under the "Ulju County Promotional Ambassador Operation Ordinance," which was enacted in February. Ulju County explained that Seol was selected to enhance its youthful and dynamic image and to strengthen communication with various generations.

Seol Youngwoo, a native of Eonyang-eup, joined Ulsan HD in 2020 after progressing through the Ulsan HD youth team and Ulsan University. He represented the national team at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023, winning gold medals. He is currently playing for FK Crvena Zvezda in Serbia, where he has contributed to the team's double victory by winning both the Serbian Cup and the league.

In particular, last March, he donated 10 million won to support the recovery from wildfires in Ulju County, demonstrating his ongoing commitment and generosity toward his hometown.

Seol Youngwoo stated, "It is very meaningful and an honor to be appointed as the first official promotional ambassador of my hometown, Ulju County. From now on, wherever I am, I will do my best to promote Ulju County with the mindset that I am always together with the residents."

Mayor Lee Soongeol said, "The bright and energetic image of Seol Youngwoo goes well with Ulju County's pristine nature and future-oriented policies. Together with Seol, we will strive to widely promote the charms of Ulju County both domestically and internationally."
