When You Need a Pause,
Visit Cheongsong Garden
Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province is opening the Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong Garden to the public free of charge. This new attraction was created through collaboration between the local community and organizations, aiming to provide residents and tourists with a space for relaxation and healing.
The Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong Garden spans approximately 42,000 pyeong. In the spring, poppies are planted, and in the autumn, zinnias bloom, offering visitors unique seasonal landscapes. The garden attracts many visitors every year with its ever-changing scenery.
The poppies at Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong Garden begin to bloom at the end of May and reach full bloom by mid-June, promising visitors beautiful views and unforgettable memories. In addition, poppies are also in bloom at other local parks and vacant lots, including the Juwangsan Tourist Complex, welcoming guests throughout the area.
Also known as corn poppies, these flowers are a representative wildflower of spring, blooming with red or orange blossoms from May to June. The name originates from the belief that their beauty rivals that of Yang Guifei, a legendary beauty of China.
County Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, "I hope this brings hope to residents who have been discouraged by wildfires, and offers visitors a chance to experience the changing seasons and create lasting memories." He added, "Every single tourist visiting Cheongsong now is providing strength to our region and offering great encouragement in overcoming wildfire damage. We will continue to develop and operate the Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong Garden, making Cheongsong a city people want to revisit and a place where they want to stay."
