Gimpo City to Change Route of Bus No. 2000... Now Serving Jeonwonmaeul and Modammaeul

Gathering Suggestions from Jeonwonmaeul and Modammaeul Residents
Active Efforts Lead to Bus Route Changes Starting June 1

Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province, which is pursuing citizen-centered transportation policies, announced on May 27 that it will change the route of Metropolitan Bus No. 2000 starting June 1. The revised route will newly include stops near the Jeonwonmaeul and Modammaeul apartment complexes.

This route adjustment was reviewed in response to suggestions made in March by residents of the Modammaeul and Jeonwonmaeul apartment complexes. Based on residents' feedback, the city adjusted the route to minimize inconvenience for existing passengers and to maintain the current bus interval of 15 to 25 minutes.

The additional stops included in this route change are seven local stops: Jeonwonmaeul 1st Complex·Gimpo Hangang Lotte Castle, Jeonwonmaeul 3rd Complex·KCC Switzen, Hwaseong Park Dream·KCC Switzen, Hanok Village·Art Village, Saemjae Village, Hanggyo Village, and Geolpo-dong. The bus interval and frequency will remain unchanged at 15 to 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, two stops?Janggi Intersection·Sujeong Village and Janggi Village Entrance·Geomeundari?will no longer be served. Passengers who previously used the Janggi Intersection·Sujeong Village stop should use the Sujeong Village·Ssangyong Yega stop (toward Seomun), while those who used the Janggi Village Entrance·Geomeundari stop should either take Bus No. 97 (Goyang City) or transfer to Bus No. 33-1 (Geolpo Bukbyeon Station) or Bus No. 33-2 (Najingyo·Metro Ja-i 2nd Complex).

Gimpo City expects that this route change will improve convenience for students commuting to and from Unyang High School, as well as for commuters traveling to Goyang City and Seoul.

Meanwhile, Gimpo City is actively working this year to maximize transportation convenience for citizens by building highly practical transportation infrastructure and enhancing services. The city plans to continue improving transportation convenience by expanding road and rail networks externally and, internally, by increasing parking infrastructure, adjusting bus routes, and upgrading transportation facilities.
