Open on Weekends Too

The Foreigners-Centered Branch combines a traditional branch environment, where customers can receive face-to-face consultations for services such as account opening and overseas remittance, with a 'Digital Lounge' that offers financial consultations in 10 foreign languages via video calls.
Shinhan Bank explained that it conducted a comprehensive analysis of the size of the foreign resident population and the distribution of nationalities by region. Based on this, the bank selected Doksan-dong as the second location for such a branch, noting that while the foreign community in Seoul is active, financial accessibility for foreigners in Doksan-dong remains relatively low.
Taking into account the needs of foreign customers, the branch's face-to-face consultation services are available on weekdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The video consultation-based 'Digital Lounge' operates on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A Shinhan Bank representative stated, "We will continue to expand our branches in major areas where foreigners reside and dedicate ourselves to creating integrated financial solutions from the customer's perspective."
Meanwhile, last month, Shinhan Bank completely revamped its mobile web channel and introduced a dedicated menu for foreigners that supports 16 languages. This allows foreign customers who previously had difficulty accessing financial apps to open checking accounts and debit cards in their preferred language via the mobile web.
