Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on May 27 that it had appointed Kim Taehun, former head of the Ansan Office of Education, as the new CEO of the Ansan Cultural Foundation on May 26.

The new CEO, Kim, has worked in the field of educational administration for 38 years. The city explained that it highly valued his efforts to expand arts education within public education, his work in youth cultural and arts education, and his commitment to multicultural acceptance policies. For these reasons, Kim was appointed as the new CEO of the foundation.
CEO Kim stated, "I will innovate the foundation into an open cultural space where citizens, youth, and artists can learn freely." He added, "By strengthening digital transformation and the creative ecosystem, I will enhance the self-sufficiency of artists." Kim also said, "I will establish a new status for the foundation so that it can be reborn as a cultural platform created together with citizens."
