Reservations available for three days starting May 28
Stays valid from June 5 to July 17
The Daejeon city government announced that it will operate the "2025 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa - Regional Special Exhibition" in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to mark the summer vacation season.
This event is a large-scale tourism campaign involving 13 metropolitan governments nationwide, including Daejeon, Busan, and Daegu. It aims to boost domestic travel demand and revitalize the local tourism industry by offering accommodation discount coupons through online travel agencies.
The accommodation discount coupons can be used only for reservations made during the three-day period from May 28 to May 30. The coupons are valid for stays at accommodation facilities in Daejeon from June 5 to July 17.
Each coupon provides a 50,000 won discount when spending 70,000 won or more at accommodation businesses located in Daejeon, and only one coupon will be issued per person.
Reservations can be made through 22 participating online travel agency channels, including KakaoTalk, Yanolja, 11st, and HanaTour.
Jeon Ilhong, Director of Culture, Arts and Tourism at Daejeon City, said, "Daejeon is evolving beyond its image as a science city and is now being called a 'fun and entertaining Jamjam city' and a 'waiting city,' emerging as a hot spot attracting the attention of the MZ generation. We hope that through this Accommodation Sale Festa, more tourists will visit Daejeon and experience its diverse charms."
