Lotte Wellfood announced on May 27 that it has launched a limited-edition product line in collaboration with the traditional Korean house-style cafe "Cheongsudang." The lineup includes "Binz," "Almond Ball," and "Pepero."
A representative from Lotte Wellfood explained, "Matcha has recently emerged as a global trend among younger generations," adding, "Young consumers are attracted not only to the wellness attributes of matcha, but also to its distinct and vibrant green image."
Cheongsudang is a cafe brand that first opened in Ikseon-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and now operates eight locations in Korea and the United States. Unique menu items such as matcha beverages and souffl? pancakes are especially popular.
The collaborative products use matcha made from green tea leaves grown in Jeju. "Binz Premier Matcha" stands out for its harmonious blend of chocolate biscuits and matcha."Almond Ball Matcha" features a combination of sweet and slightly bitter matcha sweets with whole roasted almonds."Pepero Matcha" emphasizes a sweet and slightly bitter flavor by coating rich matcha over a cacao biscuit.
The package design incorporates deep green tones and design elements such as bamboo and lanterns to capture the ambiance of Cheongsudang.
