Hana Financial Group Launches "Step Donation Campaign" to Promote Environmental Protection Through Everyday Walking

Hana Financial Group announced on May 27 that it will be conducting the "Step Donation Campaign," which encourages people to protect the environment through daily walking and spread the spirit of sharing by donating their steps, until June 30.

This campaign was organized to promote the habit of walking in daily life and encourage the use of public transportation, thereby practicing energy conservation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By achieving a "shared step goal," customers and employees of Hana Financial Group will donate trees, making this one of the group's representative eco-friendly ESG initiatives.

To participate, individuals can install the "Big Walk" mobile app via the "Step Donation Campaign" section on the Hana One Q event page. From the moment of participation, steps are automatically tracked, and up to 30,000 steps per day can be donated through the "Donate Steps" feature. If the cumulative number of steps from all participants reaches the shared goal of 500 million steps, trees will be donated to communities recently affected by wildfires to help restore forests.

Various events have also been prepared for those who participate in the step donation. During the campaign period, 11 participants who donate 110,000 steps will be selected by lottery to receive eco-friendly gift boxes, and the top 50 participants in terms of total donated steps will receive eco-friendly gift boxes and coffee coupons.

A representative from the ESG Win-Win Finance Team at Hana Financial Group stated, "This campaign was designed to protect both 'health' and the 'environment' through the simple act of walking in daily life, and to spread the spirit of 'sharing' within the local community," adding, "We will continue to promote eco-friendly ESG campaigns so that the collective steps of participants can bring about meaningful change."

Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group is fulfilling its mission of "growing together and sharing happiness through finance" by conducting eco-friendly ESG campaigns such as the "Reusable Cup Campaign," seasonal "Clothing Donation Campaign," and "Jubging" for urban environmental cleanup, all of which involve both customers and employees.
